When Keeping It Loyal Goes Wrong

Every girl dreams about having her prince charming come rescue her and give her a fairy tale life. Well too bad, that only happens in cartoon movies. The reality is no relationship is perfect. There will be ups and downs financially, emotionally, physically and mentally. It’s the way you handle the situation that really determines whether you’re built to be wifey and hold it down or another adventure that drove your man to marry the next girl he titty fucks. Some of you women disappoint me from day to day talking about you’re his ride or die… Sure.

Drake said it best: “and if you pillow talking with the women that are screwing you, just know she gone tell another nigga when she through with you” And that’s a proven fact.

As soon as a woman turns on you, all the shit she knows about you will leak faster than Rick Ross album cut. Men don’t understand that as soon as you fuck up, we purposely fuck up. It’s like a chain reaction. You hit her, she will press charges. You cheat, she will mind fuck you enough to have you believing she is fucking your bes tfriend. You talk to her crazy, she will eventually say you threaten her life. Yes it sucks but that’s because Wifey is only loyal when shit is sweet. And in 2012, Heauxs are the new wifey, so what do you expect?

Don’t get it twisted, I am completely against domestic violence, but being realistic – one punch to the face can change your perception to your views of life and make you into a better woman with another man. Great example: Hallie Berry, Rihanna, Robin Givens, etc. All of these women got that one beat down that made them strive harder and not settle for less. Relationships grow from experiences whether their good or bad.

But what do I know? I’m just a girl from Washington Heights who found out some shit about her man and I won’t mention it until I go to AC for the weekend.

NYC aint bout that stripper life

Being an adult entertainment coinsurer, I often enjoy an exciting night at a strip club. All through out my timeline & on various blogs you hear about headlining strippers, pole-a-thons, everything to bring the crowd in. But none of these events are happening in NYC. And that started me to thinking,” what happened?” Strip clubs and strippers are more popular than ever now, with women even actively patronizing these places without men. Why doesn’t Sin City, Sues, or Perfections have outstanding headliners like some of the other clubs in the south? I mean where is the attraction? Am I supposed to be impressed because you know how to take off your clothes? Not at all. The popular feature strippers aren’t even asked to come in for one night to bring the crowd in. That picture that leaked out of Rhianna at the strip club looked so stank to me. Both girls hygiene looked questionable and the club looked sub par. This is NYC, we supposedly set the standard for nightlife through out the world but I’m not seeing that anymore. I mean even the music being played is mostly from southern artist.

It seems like Sin City has the potential to be our “KOD” or “Magic City” but none of the women there are that entertaining. If Spyda & Magic aren’t there then it’s really just a big party with some women half naked. And when Spyda & Magic do perform, there isn’t any advertising promoting them. If you don’t follow them on twitter you wouldn’t even know. So if you catch them, you’re lucky. The décor is nice, it’s a spacious club, it has a following, if no place else, Sin should definitely have a few feature strippers.
When Sexy Dancers was open, it promoted its dancers, and the crowds came out to see, and when they did, it was more than some awkwardly performed stage dances. Patrons want to see finesse, class, professionalism, and awesome pole tricks. Who cares if you can bounce your booty on all fours? So can I!!! Now this is coming from a women’s perspective but I’m sure there are some men who feel the same way. I’ve never been to Perfections, so I can’t comment on their atmosphere, but the last time I went to Sue’s it was a snooze fest as well. The days when Sues was popping, I was too young to attend but just the promo’s on the radio seemed exciting enough.

Most of the feature strippers are from the tri-state area. And with it being so much a part of popular culture now, and with the retirement of Gigi Maguire, you would think that ONE of these clubs would have booked her. Nope, no luck. The closest she got was Philly. So that leads me to believe that either NYC doesn’t put on, or there really isn’t money up here. It’s just the illusion of it. Even the strip club has to pay rent and I guess they can’t afford to pay for flights, room and board, and pay them their feature fee.

I guess this just makes NYC nightlife seem a little bland to me. There isn’t a place to go and really enjoy the atmosphere, a few drinks, and people watch. When you’ve been to other cities and you see how they put on, you think to your self “ damn I’m from NY and they showing us out” But it is a good feeling to see people so happy for their home grown. I would definitely like for that to rub off on us New Yorkers. We need some Stripper Team Spirit.
